Fantastic Hotel

Having just returned from a fantastic stay at the Rodney Hotel, I felt the need to put right some of the wrongful reviews this great hotel seems to be incorrectly subject to! Everything from the friendly, efficient management of my telephone booking and the welcoming reception upon arrival to the assistance with check-out requirements (such as leaving luggage etc.) was first class. Staff are consistently cheerful and always on hand to assist with any questions or queries. I visited the hotel for a family weekend getaway and it suited all our needs perfectly. The room was spacious and comfortable with great touches such a a good range of tea and coffee as well as a selection of complimentary fruit. The location is perfect, a stone's throw away from the bustling Clifton village, full of shops, cafes, bars and restuarants. The meal we had in the hotel restaurant P.O.S.H. was incredibly tasty, beautifully presented and great value for money. Breakfast the following morning was relaxed and plentiful, made even better by delighful waiting staff. After becoming besotted with the hotel's resident cat, Lulu, we took our daughter to Bristol Zoo which was only a ten minute walk from the Rodney. Overall, this homely hotel is full of character and charm making any visit interesting and memorable. We will definately be back!

I stayed at the Rodney with my partner for a few nights for a short city break. I don't see what you are moaning about? The Rodney hotel is lovely! The bed rooms were well furnished in a way that suits and compliments the building, which is part of beautiful georgan terrace, and were spotless! The staff were always very helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We ate in the restaurant one night and had a superb meal, as we did breakfst each morning. Add to the that a fantastic location and there isn't much more you can ask for!! Oh, except a cute cat, which they also have!! A great hotel. I'll be back for sure!!

No negative comments about the service from the staff and the food. Okay for me. The most noticeable things would be the poor condition of both the bathroom and the room. In dire need of renovation. Kind of disappointing for the amount that I had paid for.
